About Me

For more than 25 years, I’ve been working as a human resources professional, primarily in learning & development and primarily for two of the largest corporations in the U.S. My wife and I spent nearly all of those years living in St. Paul, Minnesota, exploring the Upper Midwest and beyond with our two now-grown children and our treasured group of family friends. We recently moved to our favorite lakeside community of Bayfield, Wisconsin, overlooking the Apostle Islands and Lake Superior.

Following my last corporate stint, I stepped away from the traditional workforce to draft my book, PTO: Prioritize Time Outdoors. I was inspired by the many former colleagues who expressed interest in the pursuits my family embarked on, but they had no idea where to start or were a little overwhelmed by the thought. As an L&D professional, I was hardwired to help them overcome those barriers.

On the side, I write the occasional blog as well, though now that the manuscript is complete I’m eager to once again prioritize time outdoors. In my spare time you can also find me cooking, reading, sailing with my wife, and following Minnesota sports teams along with the English Premier League.
